Personality: (Taken form the wiki)Shotaro's basic personality is an homage to the fiction character of Philip Marlowe (ironically who his partner is named after), as is his sense of being a hard-boiled detective. Shotaro is decisive and intuitive making him a remarkable detective even without the help of his partner. At times Shotaro's emotion and dedication to the choices that he makes causes him to come to blows with his partner and others. Despite his tough exterior Shotaro cares deeply about his clients, his friends, and his city and will do anything in his power to protect them.

Shotaro is a contrast to his partner Philip, showing great emotion and intuition as opposed to Philip's cold and logical thinking. Because of his emotional side, he is capable of understanding the emotions and actions of others. While Shotaro usually tries to be the serious one out of his group he is often the one that is made a fool of by his friends. Shotaro takes the role of Kamen Rider Double very seriously and with great pride as the name "Kamen Rider" was given to them by the citizens themselves. As such, he tries to make a good name for Kamen Rider Double.

History: ((Parts of this are taken from the Kamen Rider wiki as well)) Shotaro grew up in Fuuto, vowing to ensure no one causes its citizens to shed a tear. When he was young, he witnessed a detective by the name of Sokichi Narumi conbat a monster called a Dopant, and decided that's how he'll protect Fuuto's citizens, as a detective. When he was 18, Shotaro took on the job as the protege of the very detective he witnessed all those years ago, Sokichi Narumi, who is Futo's private investigator. Sokichi taught Shotaro every trick he knows, readying him in case Sokichi's time in this world were to end.

However, in the investigation of a mysterious organization, which led to Shotaro meeting Philip, Sokichi is shot to death leaving Shotaro to continue in his stead, Sokichi giving Shotaro his prized hat in his final moments. Refusing to let his mentor's memory be in vain, Shotaro works to stop the Dopant crime wave by being the man on the street, contacting his various informants and transforming into Kamen Rider Double by providing his body for the combination. Shotaro's body however was never meant to handle Gaia Memories which is why he had trouble maintaining their Rider form when Philip's power was evolving. However he has proven to overcome these obstacles by sheer willpower to become Kamen Rider Double CycloneJoker Xtreme.

At first, Philip was not really interested in human relationships, even calling himself 'a little devil.' But after spending time with Shotaro and Akiko, Philip came to love Futo City and the friends he and Shotaro made. He also playfully teases Shotaro about being 'half-boiled' while still being his most trustworthy friend. As noted above Philip occasionally reads common topics he finds interesting which sometimes will turn into an obsession that overwhelms him until he knows everything about that subject, often getting in the way of ongoing investigations. This is shown during the Arms Dopant case when Philip reads a book about weight loss and uses a method that ends up making his body weaker than normal, causing the FangJoker transformation to take a severe toll on him. In the aftermath of that case, he continues reading and ends up experiencing weight loss rebound, becoming obscenely obese from eating large amounts of Mochi, a type of rice cake.

Philip maintained a close relationship with Wakana Sonozaki after helping her in the Violence Dopant case, which was further enforced when he discovered his identity as Raito Sonozaki until Wakana was convinced to join in the Gaia Impact plan. He became devoted to bring his family out of their Gaia Memory plans so that they can be a true family again, even if it meant disappearing forever.

History: ((Yet again taken from the wiki)) He is a mysterious young man who possesses the true Gaia Memory (地球の記憶 Chikyū no Kioku?). His real name is Raito Sonozaki (園咲 来人, Sonozaki Raito?), the 3rd born child of Ryubee, whose mind was altered by Satoshi Yamashiro under his father's wishes to have no memory of his name and family. It is also revealed to him that Raito actually died twelve years ago in a freak accident, and he was revived as an avatar for the true Gaia Memory to save him. After being rescued by Shotaro and Sokichi Narumi from a mysterious organization, Philip helps investigate Dopant activity through his ability to access the Gaia Library (地球（ほし）の本棚 Hoshi no Hondana?), a collection of all of the information in the known world. However, due to having no memory of his life before being rescued and the need to keep his location secret from the people Shotaro rescued him from, he usually spends his time in the Detective Agency's secret hangar, reading about common topics that he finds interesting. He fights the Dopants with Shotaro as the mind and soul of Kamen Rider Double, providing the Gaia Memories for the right side of Double.

After being thrown into the Gaia Memory for the Gaia Impact and extracted from ClayDoll Xtreme, Philip's body became unstable to the point that should he transform into Kamen Rider Double, again, he would break up into data and completely be absorbed by the planet. Saving their final transformation to save Wakana and fight the Utopia Dopant, Jun Kazu, Philip has Shotaro promise to him that he will still fight for Futo even if he is gone. After Kazu is defeated, Philip bids his final farewell to Shotaro as he fades away once the transformation is ended. Before he left, Philip left Shotaro a gift containing a Lost Driver belt and the blank book he used to access the Gaia Library containing a message thanking Shotaro and asking him to continue to protect Futo. A year later, after Wakana learns that Philip sacrificed his own physical existence to save her, she initiates her own Gaia Impact to bring back the Xtreme Memory which slowly reconstructs Philip's physical body. Before returning, Philip has one last moment with his family who tell him that they will be watching over him. Upon returning to physical form, he continues to protect the city of Futo as Kamen Rider Double.

Whats the first Keyword?" "From what we've seen, this Dopant can turn invisible and is reptilian in appearance. First Keyword, 'Chameleon.'" Within the Bookshelf, a massive array of books moved around, most of them moving off-screen. "That narrowed down a lot of results. Second Keyword?" "This Dopant's been sabotaging jewelry stores all over town, he was either hired by someone or was eliminating the competition. Second Keyword, 'Jewelry.'" The books in the Planet's Bookshelf moved again, leaving one behind. "Bingo! Koji Naginata, he owns a jewelry store on the other side of town." "Alright, we've got a prime suspect. I think its time I paid Mr. Naginata a visit."

CycloneJoker: CycloneJoker is the primary form used by Double, first seen in All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker and the first form utilized within the television series. It is colored green and black from the Cyclone and Joker Memories, hence known as the "Fast Skilled Warrior." CycloneJoker is considered to be the most well balanced, thus making it Double's default form. This form's finishing move is a drop kick Rider Kick called the Joker Extreme, during which Double's body splits down the middle as the halves descend on their target.

HeatJoker:HeatJoker is the first Half Change form used by Double when he appears in the Kamen Rider Decade film. It is colored red and black form accessed from the Heat and Joker Memories, hence known as the "Hot Skilled Warrior". In this form, Double can throw flaming punches by means of the Heat Memory's powers.HeatJoker's punching and kicking power are the same, but it has slightly slower running speed and very weak jumping height than CycloneJoker. The form's Maximum Drive finisher is the Joker Grenade Rider Punch, during which Kamen Rider Double somersaults in mid-air, then HeatJoker's body splits down the middle during descent as the halves each hit the target with elementally energized hooks.

LunaJoker: LunaJoker is the first Half Change form used by Double within the series, a colored yellow and black form accessed from the Luna and Joker Memories hence known as the "Trickery Skilled Warrior". In this form, Double has the ability to stretch his right limbs by means of the Luna Memory's powers. LunaJoker is shown to be the weakest out of the other 2 Joker forms, but it has faster running speed than CycloneJoker. The form's Maximum Drive finisher is the Joker Strange Rider Chop, during which LunaJoker splits down the middle, with the Luna half makes four copies of itself, and all five Luna halves execute rapid-fire karate chops on the target(s), then the Joker half finishes it off with a charged chop.

CycloneTrigger: CycloneTrigger is a green and blue-colored Half Change accessed through the Cyclone and Trigger Memories. Hence known as the Fast Skilled Sniper. In this form, Double wields the Trigger Magnum by means of the Trigger Memory's powers and is able to shoot out high compressed air by means of the Cyclone Memory. CycloneTrigger's gunshots have a wider range, but it has nimble precision than LunaTrigger. The form's Maximum Drive finisher is the Trigger Aerobuster, firing multiple shots of pressurized air at the enemy.

The Trigger Magnum is a firearm used when Double assumes any form that uses the Trigger Memory. When the Trigger Memory is placed in the Maximum Slot on the Trigger Magnum while Kamen Rider Double is in LunaTrigger, CycloneTrigger or HeatTrigger form, it shifts from Normal Mode to Maximum Mode to enable the Trigger Full Burst , Trigger Aerobuster, or the Trigger Explosion Maximum Drives. The Trigger Magnum attaches to the chest of the Trigger half of a Double formation. When used in conjunction with the Stag Phone while in LunaTrigger Form, its finishing attack is the Trigger Stag Burst. When used in conjunction with the Bat Shot, its finishing attack is the Trigger Bat Shooting.

LunaTrigger: LunaTrigger is a form that first appears in the television series. It is a gold and blue form accessed with the Luna Memory and the Trigger Memory hence known as the Homing Skilled Sniper. In this form, Double's Trigger Magnum is able to fire gold and blue bolts that can curve and track targets. LunaTrigger is mostly well-suited for marksmanship, but its shots are slower than the other 2 Trigger forms. Its finishing attack is the Trigger Full Burst, which fires multiple charged homing shots at the enemy

HeatTrigger: HeatTrigger is a red and blue-colored Half Change accessed through the Heat and Trigger Memories Hence known as the Hot Skilled Sniper. In this form, Double wields the Trigger Magnum by means of the Trigger Memory's powers and shoots fire blasts by means of the Heat Memory's powers. HeatTrigger's gunshots is also shown to have a very high output than LunaTrigger. This form's Maximum Drive finisher is Trigger Explosion, which fires a constant stream of fire that melts the enemy completely. HeatTrigger is the only form of Double's that has attempted to perform a Twin Maximum, in which the Trigger Magnum blasts out a massive fireball that incinerates anything in its path.

CycloneMetal: CycloneMetal is a green and silver-colored Half Change accessed through the Cyclone and Metal Memories hence known as the Windy Warrior. In this form, Double can wield the Metal Shaft by means of the Metal Memory's powers. When swung, the Metal Shaft creates blades of wind by means of the Cyclone Memory. CycloneMetal's weight is 5 tons lighter than HeatMetal, although its punching power is weaker, it's shown to have a greater jumping height. The form's Maximum Drive finisher is the Metal Twister where Double spins around while swinging the Metal Shaft covered in an aura of wind.

The Metal Shaft is an extendable Bô used when Double assumes any form that uses the Metal Memory. When the Metal Memory is placed in the Maximum Slot on the MetalShaft while in HeatMetal, CycloneMetal, or LunaMetal form, Double is able to execute either the Metal Branding, the Metal Twister, or the Metal Illusion Maximum Drives. The MetalShaft attaches to the back of the Metal half of a Double formation.

HeatMetal: HeatMetal is the second true form used by Double, first appearing in the Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker. It is colored red and silver and is accessed from the Heat and Metal Memories, hence known as the Blazing Warrior . In this form, the damage from the Metal Shaft is increased by fire. A common tactic used by Double is to turn around while changing to this form, using the Metal Shaft on his back to block enemy attacks before counterattacking. HeatMetal is considered to be the strongest,but slowest of the 9 forms due to its running speed and weight and it's jumping height is weaker than the other 2 Metal forms. Its finishing attack is the Metal Branding causing one or both ends of the Metal Shaft to ignite on fire and deliver a final blow to the opponent.

LunaMetal: LunaMetal is a gold and silver-colored Half Change accessed through the Luna and Metal Memories hence known as the Tricky Warrior. In this form, Double can wield the Metal Shaft by means of the Metal Memory's powers, using the Luna Memory's abilities to use it as a whip. LunaMetal is also shown to be lighter and faster than the other 2 Metal forms. The form's Maximum Drive finisher is the Metal Illusion where Double uses the Metal Shaft to create golden rings and then unleashes them upon the target all at once.

FangJoker: FangJoker is a white and black form that Double uses to escape from Philip's captors during the events of the Begins Night as seen in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Double & Decade: Movie War 2010. As the Fang Memory was designed for Philip, his and Shotaro's roles as Double are reversed in FangJoker, with Shotaro's consciousness transferred into Philip's body for the transformation, Double's left eye flashes whenever Shotaro speaks. This form is described as The Wild Skilled Warrior as the transformation takes an extreme tax on Philip's body as he tends to lose control of himself when in this form during its first two uses. Additionally this form cannot be used for long due to Philip's weaker body. FangJoker is considered to be faster and stronger than the other forms that came before it.

By activating the Fang Memory's horn between one and three times, FangJoker is able to summon a bladed weapon that forms on various portions of FangJoker's body. One time summons the Arm Saber on FangJoker's wrist to be used as a close combat weapon; two times summons the Shoulder Saber, which can be removed from FangJoker's right shoulder to be used as a dagger or boomerang-like weapon; three times summons the Maximum Saber on FangJoker's right ankle. This last Saber is used to perform FangJoker's Maximum Drive: the flying roundhouse Rider Kick Fang Streiser in which a projection of the Fang Memory's head is shown "biting" the opponent when Double comes in contact while forming a projection of the English Letter F.
