Tom Hanson walked down the halls of the high school he was currently at. He was undercover along with Doug Penhall as the McQuaid brothers. They were the most feared in the school, that's for sure. Tom McQuaid was a fun part to play. Penhall and him really enjoyed it and knew what it was like to be the bad guy in high school. Back when Tom was really in high school, he was a geek. He was in band, playing the saxophone, and did a lot like student council.
Tom had also just learned the existence of mutants as well. That was still a shock to him. He had met Delano, a young man, well about his age, had been able to transform into a wolf. Tom wondered how he was doing now. Tom really did have a caring heart.
Tom's mind wandered to his thoughts of Amy. How he missed her. He couldn't believe he was so caught up in her death and catching the man who murdered her that he missed her funeral. He really missed her and still wished that there was something that he could have done something to save her. He had saved almost everyone else, why not her? Tom hasn't told Fuller or anyone that he still had thoughts like that. It was only natural to think that way.
Tom continued to walk when he didn't realize that he walked right into another person, a young girl. "watch where your going huh?" Tom said, in character as a McQuaid.

Why couldn't this be closer to home? A test was coming up and Gwen needed to study. Even if everyone thought she never had to study to get good grade but she felt it was completely wrong. However a Plumber mission was more important to keep Earth in balance with the peace between aliens and humans. Her badge had given her the location to this school but being here she couldn't keep it out.
So tracking down the person she needed to will be hard. The Plumbers didn't even have an in depth description for her. It didn't help that lost in thought she accidentally ran into someone. She was just about to apologize when she heard the tone in his voice. Reminded her of Kevin in his kid years. At least he grew up since then for becoming less of a jerk.
"How about you watch where you're going?" she shot back. She brushed past him, purposely knocking her shoulder against his arm. Gwen could be mean when she wants to and this happens to be one of those times. She continued to head towards the school while everyone else seemed to be heading away or loitering around.

Hanson looked at the girl with brownish reddish haired girl who had talked back to him. He never had that happen to him before when he and Penhall were the McQuaids. It was different. He still stood there with the glaring look on his face that showed he was angry, even though he really wasn’t. sometimes he really didn’t like acting the way that he had to in this character when it was him being mean to the average person, not so much when they were after bullies. The girl had pushed past him and continued to walk. Hanson just chuckled loudly and sarcastically.
Hanson turned and started after her, finally catching up to her and walking beside her. “girls got attitude. So did you get that from daddy or mommy?” Hanson said, still staying in character. He wanted to know who this girl was, and who she thought he was since he and Doug Penhall were well known as the McQuaid brothers. They were feared in every school that they had entered in this type of character. Hell, it was even said that Tom McQuaid had killed someone.
“The name’s Tom McQuaid, and you are?” Tom asked trying to get a name out of her, even though that this shouldn’t be a huge social thing and that they just needed to make the bust and get out, as usual.

She didn't have time for this guy, however, it seemed he decided to start a conversation with her. No way to use her powers to track down the alien without him knowing. Maybe she can get rid of him soon. “Sounds like you got your attitude from a thrift store. My boyfriend has had worse attitude than you're pulling off and I know how to deal with it,†she stated, blowing off his comment about her attitude.
Gwen really hoped he didn't want to fight. She would really put him in his place then. What, with her Tae Kwon Do training and how many fights she's won against aliens. “Gwen Tennyson,†she replied while being generous. “Now Tom, if you don't mind I'm kind of busy.†Her eyes searched the school grounds to try and find someone or something looking out of place. So far nothing looked too out of ordinary besides all the punks. Bellwood has punks but it seemed to appear worse in bigger cities.
“A family thing,†was all she could come up with in such short notice. Considering she didn't think she would have to talk to a persistent person. Gwen's mind worked to come up with something else to say in case om McQuaid asked who she is looking for.

Hanson stood there staring at her. He looked down at her, wondering what she was going to do next. The red haired girl looked pissed, and Hanson didn’t blame her. He hated being mean to people, but he had to. This was the role he was playing. “really? Why would you date a guy like that?” Hanson asked curiously, retorting at her. He folded his arms across his chest and stared at her, giving her a cold glare type of stare.
Hanson looked at her when she said her name was Gwen. That was a different name, not that he hated it. He actually liked it. It was different, unlike his girl friend Amy. Hanson still couldn’t get her out of his head. She had been dead for a little while. He missed every moment he spend with her. He remembered her death vividly even till this day. He felt like it was his fault she died, even still to this day. He did then he does now. Hanson looked back at her and watched as she looked around. She then stated that it was a family thing. She was still looking around though. Hanson shrugged it off. He didn’t care.
“I didn’t ask.” he stated to her with a shrug.

“He's changed. That's why.†If this guy couldn't respect that then he could go somewhere else. Sure Kevin still has an attitude but it's nothing like when he was a kid. If he hadn't changed at all then Gwen wouldn't have fallen for him. She rubbed her temples as if a headache was coming on. Nothing to do with Tom but with trying to find this alien. Lack of sleep wasn't helping either.
Surely she could track down who she needs to if she could use her badge or powers without people asking questions. It didn't seem like she would be able to use either while there were a lot of people were still around. Luckily for her he didn't bother to ask any questions on why she was here. Maybe she was hearing things when she mentioned it being a family thing on being at this school.
She knew she hadn't read his mind or anything. Probably had thought ahead and decided to say why she's here. Now the alien in question clearly was wearing and ID mask to hide his or her form from the others. “Have you seen anything strange going on?†she asked, trying to sound casual as if it would pinpoint the alien.
