Characters Appearing: Gwen, Dillon, Jacob Time of Day: Nightfall Location(s): Warehouse in Bellwood, California Previous Thread Name/Info: N/A NPCs Used: N/A Plot Summary: Gwen checks out a location given to her and doesn't seem to find anything at first....
Seriously it was becoming a chore to deal with all these missions without Ben or Kevin around. This time she was not sure what could go on. An empty warehouse usually spelled disaster on the person entering. As Gwen set foot inside the warehouse she clicked on the flashlight and shone it around the room. A few boxes here and there were seen but the rest of the room seemed bare. At least to what she can see within the light.
Gwen sighed, walking around, cautiously, as she wondered if anyone was even around here. The call on her badge could mean anything. So far her searching came up with nothing that proved anything used this warehouse. If something or someone ever did they could of used it years ago. Unless they managed to hide all tracks...
The Plumber ended up startled a bit as a squeak of a nearby rat caught her off guard. It hide behind a crate as she flashed the light in its direction. “I'm sure this is where I'm suppose to be,†she said as she pulled out her badge and looked at the coordinates. She is in the right area and knew the badges hardly malfunction, so she was confused as to what she is suppose to be looking for.

Jacob had been changing his locations every so often to keep himself out of the sight of the law, but he was sure to keep connection with the demon Lilith, who loved and protected him. She was the only person in the world that seemed to give a damn about him since he murdered his mother. However, unlike his mother, Lilith always had a soft touch without any cruelty or anger directed towards him. It was good, but it still confused him why a demon would love a human being without using him. Weren't they suppose to collect souls for the Devil? In a way, he did the same thing, sending those unfortunate souls straight to Hell. He was still figuring out the full extend of his purpose as the Hand of God, but he was certain he was to kill sinners.
He came to a stop in California, a state he was certain was full of sinners. It hadn't been difficult to find a place to hide out which happened to be a nearly empty warehouse. It would suit him for now until he found somewhere better to hide out in. A sound like quiet footsteps had captured his attention. It was too light to be male footsteps, no, this was definitely a woman. The towering man grabbed his weapon as he allowed himself to slip further into the gathering darkness while he observed Gwen checking out the place with her flashlight.

Dillon was also on the move a lot lately. It had been a couple of weeks since he had left Reefside (albeit and surprisingly a bit reluctantly) and he had been wandering around ever since. He had really appreciated the offer the other had given him (it wasn't every day and every person who offered you a place to stay and all that) but he couldn't. He knew he couldn't. He knew he had to leave before someone got hurt. And as much as he didn't want to--he did anyways. It was just how things went. You did 'em no matter what.
And so that was that. A part of him hoped he'd wind up there again...but he wasn't getting his hopes up. He pretty much figured that was the last time he was gonna see Tommy or that town ever again. And while normally that would have been a-okay with him...this time felt a little different. Maybe it was because he was used to having people around that he felt like he could trust. Maybe it was the different scenery...the different atmosphere... the air...everything....it was all so different around here. And maybe he found it relaxing? Who knew? He wasn't sure why he suddenly felt different then he had...and it was confusing him to no end....but he supposed it wasn't too bad...right?
But he figured he could ponder it out some more tomorrow. For now--sleep sounded like a good thing. He had been running himself a tiny bit ragged the last couple of days. And now it was catching up to him. And he's rather not get to the point where he was about to pass out from exhaustion please and thank you.
Which led to him slinking into an empty warehouse (or seemingly empty anyways). He figured it was abandoned and he was okay. All he needed was a few hours of sleep and then he'd be on his way. It wasn't like he was here to cause trouble or nothing. Besides why would he have to steal? He had everything he needed in his bag. And so that was that.
Dillon was about to flop onto the floor when he heard footsteps. They were light footsteps...but footsteps all the same. But it didn't really matter did it? The fact of the day was that he wasn't alone. His entire body tensed up as he hid himself into the shadows so that he wouldn't be seen. And so that he wouldn't get attacked either.
And it was there he waited for whatever or whomever to show themselves...

Starting to feel like it would have been better to drag Kevin and Ben along, Gwen began to get a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Abandoned buildings always meant something bad is going to happen. Movies had that tendency to bring it into reality and when dealing with aliens and other psychopaths wanting to take over the world it meant trouble being alone. Although females did not have Gwen's powers or taken self defense courses to take care of themselves.
So far as the beam of light swept over the building Gwen couldn't see anything. Instincts told her differently though. She knew to trust her instincts better than anything or anyone else's advice. They usually meant well but ended up being wrong. 'Well if things get too bad I can always teleport out of here,' she thought while stepping further into the empty building.
As the beam landed on something in her sweeping motion, Gwen pinched her eyebrows together in worry. The quick glimmer of metal seemed to have happened but when she put her flashlight back at the area she swore she saw something it was gone. Straining her ears to try and pick up any noise, other than rats and her own breathing, she couldn't hear anything. “This is going to start giving me nightmares if I don't find something soon,†she said to herself in a quiet voice.

A movement in the shadows caught his attention, it looked almost like a masculine body pulled itself to hide in the darkness like himself. He arched an undefined brow in curiosity as he watched the two young people while they continued to what they wanted to do. However, it was the young woman who had caught his attention the most, mainly because he could see her in the dark since she had a light to illuminate herself and the area around her. She didn't look familiar to Jacob, though that wasn't saying much. He had hardly come into contact with the human population, when he did it was mainly to kill them.
The Blackwell Hotel had been one of the few places where he had encountered a multiple amount of people at one time, he had instructed to kill each one. Now, he was uncertain what to do with them. All he had ever known was to kill sinners. His mother had trained him to do so, but now she was gone by his own hand. It had been a traumatic experience to kill his own mother, but he had seen the sin in her eyes and he did what had to be done. Slowly he stepped out of the shadows behind Gwen, dropping the heavy chain against the floor as if to get the woman's attention to look in his direction.

....
There was something amiss here.
Dillon wasn't feeling like this was quite the "abandoned" warehouse that he first thought it was anymore. Well of course it wasn't. There was someone or somebodies rather here. He had seen them (and it was always when he was trying to get some sleep too. Was someone trying to tell him something here?). And he knew that this wasn't in his imagination. And that he wasn't seeing things. They were there and he knew it.
Of course he could have just flopped onto the floor right then and there and gone to sleep. But--yeah...no that wasn't happening. Sorry. He just wasn't going to be able to catch any Zs while in a place with strangers that could be looking to do him in (of course that was over exaggerating a little ,but you got the idea!). There was no way to tell what those two were doing here and he wasn't about to put himself into a bad spot. There as just no way.
But even then--he still kept to himself. He wasn't totally sure what was going on around here yet. And so instead of barging in and possibly walking into a trap--he decided to wait. Wait and see what was going on before he reacted.
His eyes narrowed as he saw the big hulking figure in the shadows. His head tilted to the side like a curious dog as he tried to get a closer look at the man. It was like he had seen the guy before. But he couldn't quite place it. That was to say where he had seen the guy before and all of that other stuff. But something was telling him that he knew this person. And it couldn't have been a good thing. Dillon could feel that overwhelming sense of dread and danger filling his veins. And he could feel the hair on the back of his neck standing up. Something was wrong here. Very wrong. He just wished he knew what!
He soon got his wish.
Dillon's face paled as he recognized the man as he stepped out into visible light. Him. It was him. Oh god you had to be kidding him! He remembered this guy. He remembered him well. I mean heck, how could he have forgotten him. He remembered how he chased them around, trying to skewer him and Tommy with that hook and chain. Dillon froze, What was he supposed to do?! He couldn't just confront this guy! There was no way! He'd probably end hung up like a string of lights!
But he was soon shaken out of his daze when he saw what the man was walking towards. The other...he was going towards the other person! Well whatever reservations he had--they were gone. Dillon had to do something. To let them at least know. Or to help fight the guy off. Something! "Look out! There's someone behind you!" he shouted just as the creep dropped his weapon onto the floor.
The clatter made Dillon froze again. All three of them were now visible to each other and all the black ranger could do was wait. Wait and see what happened before reacting.
Somehow that wasn't as reassuring as it was five minutes ago...

Something felt very wrong after her statement to herself. As if the air in the building became thick and dangerous. The hair on the back of her neck stood up as if sensing something behind her that wasn't there before. Gwen whirled around on her feet as she heard the loud sound of metal hitting the concrete floor below. The light of the flashlight hit Jacob's frame and her eyes widen a bit in fright.
The sound of someone shouting to her caused her to look in the direction it was coming from. So she was not alone at all! This voice sounded familiar to her but she knew the dangers she was in now. Although she has taken down bigger and taller aliens than this guy before. Gwen quickly backed away from the large man with the chain before getting hurt. Even if he managed to attack her with it she can just put up a quick shield.
“Well this turned into a nightmarish evening. Not even what I was looking for either,†she muttered to herself. Guess there really is no rogue aliens running around in this building. “How about you just leave now and I won't use force on you,†she added, directing it towards Jacob as she kept her eye on him and that weapon he is carrying.

Jacob heard a familiar voice behind him that tried to warn his target he was behind her, then Gwen had spotted him. However, the giant had wanted her to see him, he wouldn't have dropped the hook on the floor if he had wanted to keep his presence secret. His eyes were fixed on the woman, though the Black Ranger was second on his list once he had the woman's eyes. Gently he tilted his bald head as he studied Gwen as she addressed him, she was ordering him to leave and if he didn't she would use force against him. He had no idea what she was talking about, other then the force the police spoke about when they tried to take him in.
He had ended those policemen who had threatened him without a second thought, like he planned with the strangers. The monstrous giant didn't something strange, he actually smiled at her like she amused him before he took up his hook chain and started to swing it. With one last swing he threw the nasty looking hook towards Gwen, the kind of hook that was used in heavy duty work, perhaps something like machinery. It was a heavy device that once it was in flesh it would rip its way through much the way he would rip out the eyes after wards. If she didn't figure out something quickly, that vicious hook was going to create a new hole in her body.

Oh....
crap.
Dillon paused as he realized what he was doing (hello?! Not smart here!) and then he took a couple of steps backwards. And away from the other man. wasn't one who got scared often. With all the crap he already experienced...or at least assumed he had experienced (how else did one loose all their life's memories?)...nothing really got him super nervous anymore. It was the rare thing that he could truly say that got him truly nervous. And antsy. And that kept on his toes.
This guy just happened to be one of those rare things that got him really nervous, antsy and kept him on his toes.
I mean could you really blame him? The guy was taller and way stronger then he was. And there was no way that Dillon would be forgetting their last encounter. Not anytime time. If it hadn't been for the shield powers Doc K gave him, that hook would have killed him. Without a doubt. And now here he was in that same situation again. Different person maybe...but the same situation. The same brute of a guy. The same desire not to get that hook through his skin and flesh. And the exact same desire to get as far away from him as humanly possible.
And then she had to go and use that tone on him. God what was she insane?! Threatening him was a good way to probably get him to attack her! "Yeah threatening him...not a good idea." he said to the other as he shook his head. Good idea? There wasn't anything about this that was a good idea. Nothing whatsoever.
Then it got even worse if you could imagine. The big guy (whose name he didn't even know...and to be frank, he didn't really care TO know) began to swing the hook around over his head. Dillon cursed softly. If that hook founds its way into her, she was a goner. And so would he if that guy was flinging it his way. There was no way anyone could survive that heavy duty hook impaling them like that. The man threw the hook towards the girl and Dillon could only yell his warning out to her, "Get down!" he shouted as the hook went flying through the air.
Oh please tell him he wasn't about to watch someone get killed. Please, please, please....
