Selina Kyle
Name: Selina Kyle Nicknames: Catwoman Age: Thirties Birthday: Unknown Species: Enhanced Human Canon or Original: Canon Fandom: Batman Returns
Play By: Michelle Pfeiffer Height: 5'9'' Weight: 135 pounds Eye color: Blue or green Hair color: Blonde or black Body type: Lithe
Likes: Cats, The Catwoman Personality, Being a Thief, Bruce and Batman, Scheming, Getting her Way, Shiny things Dislikes: Batman, Her ex-boss, Complicated relationships, being stabbed in the back, dogs, guns, cops, goody-two-shoes Habits: Has taken on feline traits and habits Fears: Running out of lives, Gong to Jail forever, Isis' saftey and health, Batman's death Strengths: Resilient, clever, Weaknesses: Duel personality issues, brash, her ego Powers: She doesn't so much have powers, unless you consider her to be very lucky. Maybe she really does have 9 lives. Overall she exhibits great flexibility, dexterity, and she can pull off various gymnastic tricks. She's gotten quite good with being able to manipulate a whip, among other skills.
Personality: Selina struggles with two personalities. On one hand she's herself, a hopeless romantic, caring, and loyal woman. Her Selina side is not very adventurous, she has trouble standing up for herself at times, and she doesn't want to cause trouble in the interactions and relationships she has. Selina is often frustrated with her 'normal' life, especially on how some men treat her. Most of her frustration stemmed from her former boss.
On the other hand, she's also Catwoman; whom is quite the contrast to her normal life. Catwoman is a strong willed, empowered, and determined woman. She doesn't take flack from just anybody. She's a free spirit who does what she wants and gets what she wants - whatever the means, moral or no. Her Catwoman side doesn't let anybody get in her way, or very few people - like The Bat. She speaks her mind when she is her alter ego, and she can be quite vicious with her words.
Selina often has trouble at times figuring out who she really is. It's part of the reason she likes and dislikes Batman so much. Is she really Selina Kyle? Or is she Catwoman? Who is the stronger personality? Which one will win in the end? She bounces between the two rather easily and sometimes her two personalities start to blend together. It gets quite confusing, especially for her.
Mother: Maria Kyle (deceased) Father: Brian Kyle (deceased) Siblings: Maggie Kyle (Estranged) Other Family: Isis - pet Friends: Various villains and Bruce Wayne Enemies: Bruce Wayne's do goody Batman Home town: Gotham City Current residence: Gotham
History: Selina Kyle's home life as a child and young woman is not really worth mentioning. The story changes out of her mouth from time to time, and eventually she's forgotten the truth outright.
Eventually she got a job as a secretary for a Mr. Max Shreck. Unbeknown to her, she was working for a royal scumbag. Shreck was creating this evil scheme to build a power plant that would suck quite a bit of energy from Gotham City Electricity. Eventually, she did figure out his plan, and he found out that she knew. This was one of the biggest turns in her life as Max actually tried to kill her by pushing her out of a window from his office.
Selina fell, hitting quite a few awnings before landing in the snow. For a moment it seemed if he had actually killed her but she survived. Selina awoke to find herself surrounded by multitudes of ally cats that were chewing on her fingers to wake her up. Somehow, she managed to get home. After her near death experience Selina started to make some major changes in her life.
She adopted another, stronger, fiercer personality - Catwoman. Supposedly she seems to obtain some supernatural qualities, mainly the theory that cats have nine lives. Selina creates her first Catwoman outfit made of stitched up PVC and Leather. Keeping with her feline persona she adds little pointy ears to her mask, a whip that can relate to a feline tail, and her gloves were tipped with vicious metal claws.
As she explores her new empowered feline side she meets up with The Penguin and decides to team up with him to cause some trouble in Gotham, eventually plotting on how to get rid of the "Do Gooder", Batman.
That's where things started to get messy. She learned she couldn't be Catwoman all the time. Selina had to show up from time to time. It was around this time she met and started to have a strange relationship with none other than the very famous and very rich Bruce Wayne. Whilst she was seeing Bruce, her feline fatal side was trying to destroy The Bat.
Things got even more complicated when in parting conversation they find out one another's secret identities. But that was just a whole personal mess.
Somehow...after losing several 'lives' Selina evades death again and again, and gets revenge on her former boss by killing him, via electrocution. Towards the end of her "Beginning" Penguin is overthrown and killed. She runs off with 'two lives left', disappearing into the night to avoid Bruce/Bat Wane, to heal, and gather herself from the whole ordeal.

Role play sample: A flash of glossy black bolted through the graveyard. Selina was running as if a pack of rabid dogs were on her tail. Actually, they were cops, but they had guns. She had been shot before, repeatedly. It was certainly an experience she was not looking forward to going through again. Besides she was low on lives, did she have on left, or two? She couldn’t tell. All she could focus was on her burning lungs and her tired legs. Jumping over a gravestone she tripped, caught herself, and went back to running.
“Please don’t shoot me, please don’t shoot me, please don’t shoot me,”she said as she veered behind a crypt. Her words slurred together into one long line of frantic prayer.
She made a sharp turn and dove behind a crypt. Rolling she slightly crushed the bag she had been carrying full of expensive jewelry. Panting she rubbed a gloved hand over her face. A strip of frazzled and curly black hair had popped out from her mask. She had recently dyed it from the usual blonde color. She had needed yet another change, and besides, it matched her suit. She looked down, noting a long tear in the fabric along her thigh. Her leg was also bleeding. The injury was probably from that razor wire she had hopped over.
“Aw…damn it,” she huffed as she rested her head back against the cold stone of the crypt.
She heard the sound of the police running after her. She ducked down, pressing herself into the ground. Their flashlights bobbed closer and she held her breath. The cops slowed down and she gathered her legs under her. She slowly got up and scooted to a different section of the wall. Peeking around the corner she clutched the canvas bag to her chest. Taking a breath she broke into a run again.
She needed to get out of here, or to have them leave. Still, she didn’t want to have to wait around in a graveyard. Death, ugh; it was still too close for her comfort. She shifted and as she ran she had not been paying attention. Luck was not on her side right now, but at least it hadn’t been a deadly case of bad luck. She let out a short yelp as she fell into an open grave. Why didn’t the workers mark these damn things? She clawed at the edges of the hole as she fell into it.
With a grunt and a puff of dirt into the air, she looked at the hole she was in. Well, she could at least wait in here for a while. Selina was of a decent height, and her heels added to it, but still. She was meant for climbing trees, not holes. She was Catwoman, not a badger. She looked around and let out a grumble as she slowly got up onto her feet again. She tasted…dirt in her mouth, ick.
“Well Isis, momma’s gunna be late for supper dear,” she said to nobody as she looked around the four walls of dirt that surrounded her.
