Characters Appearing: David Xanatos and Dillon Time of Day: Noon Location(s): A ritzy hotel in New York. Previous Thread Name/Info: N/A NPCs Used: Plot Summary: Xanatos seems to have been led on and he's not happy about it. Something unexpected happens though.
A nice afternoon had been wasted within a glamorous hotel. It appeared that the one David Xanatos had been waiting on to meet with was a hoax or clearly not showing at all. He took this time to eat a nice lunch within the restaurant off to the left side on the ground floor when entering the hotel. Price was nothing when he ordered and took the time with a glass of fine wine.
He had just gotten off the phone with his wife when the waiter arrived with his lunch. She didn't seemed pleased at all. Basically mirroring his thoughts about this whole ordeal. A pity someone was going to see his mean side after he found out the culprit behind this ruse. So far he was left alone to eat without being bothered.
A rarity while out in public unless he has police or body guards to keep people away. Probably due to the time of day since not many people were around outside the hotel staff. He would just have to be wary if someone was going to try and kill him out in the open during midday. His eyes scanned the area just in case the person he was suppose to meet with still showed up.

Dillon couldn't help but slap himself a little bit here...I mean really? Of all the places--he had to pick here to wonder into. He was sure he was getting a few looks for his less then formal wear but ... meh whatever. He never did care what people thought of him. Never had and he never would. If they couldn't take him for what he was...then that was there problems. He would never change who he was or how he did things just to make a body happy. There was just no way...
But that still didn't mean that this wasn't a tiniest bit uncomfortable and a maybe a bit embarrassing. He had found himself in yet another place he didn't know of with people he didn't know and places he had never seen before. And what does he do? Wander around...explore of course. Maybe there would have been clues to tell him how to get the heck out of her and back home (never would he have thought that he would have missed Corinth of all places so dern much--oh the irony).
And what does he do? He walk right into the middle of a place. Not something that would have bugged him usually. He would have just walked right out...if he hadn't of just felt like he should stay. It was strange and he couldn't place it, but something was telling him to stay put. It was almost like a gut feeling or instinct or whatever. But it was so obviously formal and he was so obviously...not. He felt so out of place and that was the part that was bugging him. That and the looks.
But...meh who cared? Not him. The looks weren't going to scare him off. Why not see what they had...it was all probably way too expensive for him, but a bluff never hurt eh? He took a seat off to himself in a corner and looked through the menu. His mind was wandering and he couldn't help but wonder why he felt the need to stay in this place...
Guess he'd figure that one out eventually huh?

In the middle of eating, David took notice of a young man walking into the restaurant within the hotel. The clothing really made him stand out in such a high establishment compared to what everyone else is wearing. Besides the clothing something seemed off about the man. Like he was hiding something and only the people who can read people well enough would be able to tell.
He figured it would be odd if he asked the waiter to tell the young man to come sit with him. So he left him alone to eat and felt generous enough to pay whatever he could not afford. Letting the waiter know before going over to Dillon to take his order. So far that appeared to be the only thing out of the ordinary to happen right now.
Still, David had a feeling something is going to happen. Never quite know what it could be until it happens. He would be infuriated if it involved his wife and son while he is not there to protect them. Sure Fox can protect herself and their son well. It would just matter who is involved and how they handled the situation.
Finishing off his glass of wine, David took the time to check in with his wife to see how things are going. Just as a precaution and to see if she wanted anything to be picked up when he is on his way home. Something he had forgotten to ask before his food arrived.

Dillon had been banking on his instincts. He had always trusted his gut. The little voice in the back of his mind that told to go that way...or this way...or that something terrible was about to happen. Really--it was the only reason that he was in this fancy place to begin with. He was more then likely was just going to get a bottle of water or a soda or something like that. And then probably leave. That overwhelming sense of not belonging was beginning to grate on him. He scoffed. It was ridiculous anyways. What in the heck could have happened anyways? And here of all places? It was way too high priced for anything like that to go on. He mentally snorted. He wasn't needed here. This time...he was sure his gut was wrong.
His ears pricked as he heard the waiter asking him if he wanted anything. He simply shook his head, "i'll just have some water. Thanks." was the only response the other got. The waiter gave Dillon a look as if to say 'then what the heck are you doing here then?' but he said nothing. Meh business was business. And at least the guy was buying something. And it was money. Money was money. And so he didn't ask...despite how strange the guy looked in the high end restaurant...and how odd ordering just a water was...he didn't ask. A fact that Dillon was silently grateful for. He did not feel like explaining himself.
It didn't take long for the other to get his order ready...after all, it was only water. He was about to leave when he heard it. Some noise. The sound of it unmistakable. Dillon couldn't help but mentally groan. It was Grinders. Again?! What were they doing here?! And they weren't too far off by the sounds of it. Meh what was he going to do? He could stay and look odd...or he could leave and fight...
The options weren't too great were they?
