Esther looked around. She was now in Whales, which was fine with her. She needed to find Gwen, who would probably be the only person to remain completely calm when seeing her back. She decided that this was for the best. Maybe Gwen would be able to have some way of telling Jack better than Esther could herself. She could only hope though. Esther continued to walk, not really looking at people as she moved past them. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans, a black t-shirt with a jacket over it and a pair of nice boots over her jeans. She was glad to be out of the dress and have something else to wear that didn’t have blood on it. Esther wondered if her grave was still where it was and she was just not in it. There was a lot to think about but right now she needed to tell someone that she was back, and well those people were Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper. Her blond hair was pulled back into a pony tail. It was fairly dark out, since it looked like it was about to rain.
The young blond woman stopped when she reached the front of Gwen’s house. It was her mothers house, not hers, but she was staying there, or so she was told. Esther wondered if this was a good idea. She also wondered how Gwen was doing since her father died when they reversed the miracle. It had to be hard for her, just like it had to be hard for Esther’s sister to loose her. She wondered how her sister was doing now. So many negative thoughts. Esther shook her head and she walked up to the door and knocked. She stood there, waiting. She looked behind her and stood with her back facing the door now.

Gwen stood at the leaving room window leaning slightly against the pane as she sneaked a look through the curtains for twelve time in about five minutes. Her daughter was currently out with Rhy's and her mother to give Gwen some time for herself although she was still worried about the whole situation not because she was scared that they wouldn't look after her. No her husband had shown that he was an amazing father in so many different ways, ways that no person should ever have to put themselves into still she was so very proud of him. The agent had felt for her daughter ever since giving birth to her making her realize why her parent's had wanted to keep her close when she was a child. Walking towards the sofa was the only thing she could think of to calm down and thankfully it worked as sure enough her heartbeat began to slow down to it's normal speed.
That was when she heard a knock on the door instantly making her stand up on alert. Although miracle day was over she was still careful hence why she had her gun placed down the back of the back of her jean's covered by a red top and her favorite leather jacket. Gwen made her way to the door with her boot's clanking on the floor board's causing a slight grin to appear on her face. Boy she loved her boot's. "Who is it?" she asked pulling the golden handle down with a smile plastered onto her face while the door swung open which suddenly turned into one of shock at the figure who stood there. She was turned away from her but that didn't matter the Welsh female knew exactly who stood on her mum's doorstep "Esther?"
She hadn't been prepared to see her at all, not since being at her funeral. As far as the law was concerned Esther Drumming was dead yet here she was in Wales looking very much alive. If truth be told part of Gwen had never wanted to see the female agent again because it was her fault that she had died, she made Rex along with Jack end the miracle. For all of the right reasons but that wasn't the point. Esther was a good friend, one that she trusted with her life even though she wasn't used to the field. She reminded her slightly of Tosh with her knowledge of computer's and technology something that Gwen struggled with from time to time.
Taking a deep breath along with a step closer to the female Gwen held her arm's out for a gentle embrace where she managed to let go of the two words that she had been wanting to say since the miracle ended. "I'm sorry" she knew that Esther would know what she was apologizing for. They had all lost so much and I'm sorry wouldn't make everything better but the Torchwood agent hoped that it would help in some way. "Come in, it's so good to see you" she told her moving slightly so that she could enter the house "We need to talk about, well this!" Words: 529 Tagged: Esther Comments: Your post was great! Esther still stood there with her back turned to the door. She was really nervous about seeing Gwen but she had already knocked. She couldn’t ditch, well she could but she wouldn’t. Gwen had spoken through the door and Esther didn’t answer, she still stood there thinking. She knew that Gwen probably wouldn’t be one to freak out over Esther being alive and try to kill her like Rex might. Gwen was usually calm, and sure, Esther knew she would be surprised. Hell, Esther herself was surprised she was back.
Esther turned around when Gwen had said she was sorry. Esther looked at her confused. “if its about the miracle and me dying don’t be. You did what had to be done. You stopped it.” Esther smiled and said kindly to her. Esther wasn’t mad at all for dying. In a way, it was a good release. Esther couldn’t help it now. She threw her arms around Gwen and hugged her. She had missed all of them. Esther let go after a few moments and she then said to Gwen with a relieved look on her face “its really good seeing you again, too. I didn’t know what Jack and Rex would think about this so you were the person I had to talk to, after the Doctor anyway.” Esther smiled to Gwen.
“I honestly don’t know what to say about it all, how I am back and all sorts of different things. I ran away from the hospital I was in. I guess I shouldn’t have done that, huh?” Esther asked Gwen with a small smile on her face.

Gwen couldn't believe the relief that came from her very soul as Esther forgave her for what happened during the miracle where the female had been killed. She wasn't surprised that the other female hugged her either, the pair had gotten close before separating to each side of the world which until she appeared on her doorstep was the last time that they had set eye's upon each other. "Jack would be glad that he has you back someone else to do the paper work and Rex would take it better than you think" she explained laughing slightly "He can't die that Jack and maybe neither can you"
She turned away from the female as they entered the house yet quickly twisted her form back towards the agent as she heard the key word Doctor, she didn't say the doctor as in the medical kind by like it was a name. "The Doctor?" she repeated frowning "I met him a couple of years ago back in Torchwood, we helped him move the Earth back with rift energy. Long story" Gwen shook her head to herself wondering where the time lord had been when the miracle had happened, after all Jack made him appear to be some kind of miracle worker then again if he had looked down on the Earth from time to time maybe he didn't want to help them. She had experienced first hand what the government was capable of like giving up some of the world's children to save the rest, how could someone live with that? She would never know.
"Yeah but who like's hospital's?" she asked with a smile "They're still overcrowded with the after effects of the miracle so your probably helped them, you should of stayed made them suffer for a change" The agent stared at Esther wondering what she actually wanted not that she wasn't glad to see her because she really was however Gwen wasn't sure that she could answer all of her question's. "You might not know why your back but I'm glad that you are. You have a place to stay? Rhys' won't mind not that we sleep a lot anyway, motherhood" she had changed since having a child although at the time she hadn't thought that it would be a big deal yet with Torchwood maybe it would be. She wanted the team back together of course but she had a child now. Gwen sighed, she would have to think of this later and possibly talk to Jack wherever it was that he had gotten himself to now. Esther stood in front of Gwen Cooper wondering the same exact thing. She didn’t know how she was here and what not, but she was and she was hoping that she could maybe crash here with Gwen, even though she felt like it was rude to ask. Esther smiled and then had a confused look on her face when Gwen said that Rex cant die like Jack, and then said, maybe she couldn’t either. “what do you mean Rex cant die? Is he like Jack now because we switched his blood with Jacks?” Esther then asked, thinking it was her fault somehow. She shook her head after and she then said “no, I don’t believe so. Jack and Rex can heal themselves right? ” With that said, Esther opened her coat and pulled the shirt down over her shoulder to show Gwen the wound that didn’t heal, but was healing slowly. “I don’t think I am like them.” Esther finished.
Gwen sounded like she knew this Doctor fellow. She smiled and nodded, and listened to Gwen as she spoke about how he worked with them and all this stuff. Gwen sounded like she wasn’t too keen on him, but Esther didn’t think he was a bad guy. He helped her in her time of need and thanked him. She was grateful that he had decided to help her when no one else could. “he was nice, gave me a lift here.” Esther smiled to Gwen.
Esther shook her head. “I think that I would have strangled myself if I stayed, besides that I knew I was dead and to wake up in a hospital like that, I don’t know what I could have done. I am afraid that what ever is going on with me is going to end and then I am going to die again, which I am okay with, honestly.” Esther said all in one breath. She didn’t know if she was going to die again or not. Her heart is beating and she is breathing so she is alive. Esther smiled when Gwen had offered her place. “I don’t and thanks for offering. If its no problem… me staying that is…” Esther still felt weird about it, but she thought of her and Gwen as good friends.
