Rose Tyler looked around. She was shopping, whether she was in her new home world, also known as Pete’s world or someone else’s, she didn’t know. She was just happy shopping, being here and well spending money. Rose continued to walk through the mall, holding a few bags when she decided to walk into a department store and find something for John. She didn’t think that she could accept him over the Doctor, even though he was exactly the same but human and will grow old with her but she has. She loved him and nothing would change that. Rose looked around the racks of clothes and she found a nice shirt she liked. She wondered if he would like it. Oh well, if not, she would just return it. Time to break out the plastic.
Rose smiled as she walked out of the department store. She headed over to a little café stand and got herself a mocha and she sat down at a small table by herself. She watched people walk by, friends, family and couples and half wished she was here with someone even though she was still completely happy that she was shopping. After Rose had gotten here to Pete’s world, if this was Pete’s world, she didn’t think she could be happy with out the Doctor and she originally wasn’t. she continued to find a way back to him, then found a way back, helped save the universe from Daleks and was brought back “here” with the Meta Crisis Doctor or the man she now calls John Smith. She was really happy with Meta. Happier than she thought she could be.
The blond continued to drink her mocha, and took out her phone to start texting. She just loved the atmosphere here. Sure, she preferred space, but here was nice too. WORDS TAGGED Open NOTES STATUS done!

Something was very wrong with every universe in existence. The universes were first unraveling and then colliding with each other. The past present and future were all existing at the same time. Parallel universes could hardly be distinguished from one another. And the Doctor had to fix this one all by himself. He had no brilliant companions by his side to help him out with this one. Was he up for the challenge? Well, he really had no choice but to be up for it. If he didn't fix this soon, reality as everyone once knew it was going to collapse right before their eyes.
And the TARDIS had brought him to London, landing right across from a mall. He didn't know which London this one was. It could have been a London from any parallel universe, which was bad because travel between parallel universes was supposed to be impossible. Yes, he had done it a couple of times but each time had meant some serious bad news. This time, however, it was worse than bad news. Whatever or whoever was doing this to the universes had to be a more fearful entity than the Daleks, the Cybermen, the Sontarans, and every other one of his enemies combined.
So then why did the Doctor find his feet bringing him into the mall? There weren't going to be any answers for him inside there but something he couldn't quite put his finger on was drawing him inside, and the Time Lord wasn't about to start ignoring his infallible instincts. He soon found himself walking towards a cute little café. And that's when he saw her sitting at one of the tables, engrossed by whatever she was doing with her phone...That was imposs...Well, actually, no, it was quite possible, since there were no barriers between universes anymore.
The last time he had seen Rose Tyler she had been snogging Meta Crisis him on Bad Wolf Bay. He had left with a heavy heart, trying to be grateful that she was going to happy having a life with someone who shared all of his memories and, yet, was going to grow old with Rose. Still, it was wonderful to see her again. A smile formed on the Doctor's face as he quietly made his way over to Rose's table. "Excuse me, ma'am, is this seat taken?" he said, his smile growing even wider as he waited for her to look up to see someone she probably thought she was never going to see again.

Rose just sat there and texted John, also known as the Meta Crisis Doctor. She asked him where he was, knowing that he was supposed to meet her by now. She let out a sigh and she rested her head in her hand and she took a sip of the mocha she had beside her right hand. She looked down at her phone and placed it back down. The young blond was starting to get a little frustrated with John not answering her. He was probably busy with Torchwood.
It wasn’t that Rose was mad, she was just a bit frustrated that Torchwood took up most of their time. She knew that it was important to keep the earth safe, to keep Pete’s world safe but she also wanted some time to herself, time for her and John to get to know each other better. She loved the clone of the Doctor so much.
Rose heard a familiar voice from behind her. She turned and smiled.
“no, course not.” Rose replied standing up and smiling. She had grabbed the jacket of his suit and pulled him into a kiss. She immediately let go and stared at him. If this wasn’t John then?
“OH GOD!” Rose said as she backed away from him and had a confused look on her face. She remembered over hearing things about the universes but she really didn’t pay attention. That was Rose Marion Tyler for you. “but how? This is impossible, isnt it? No, wait something is wrong…” Rose then said as she looked up at the tall skinny brunette man that was The Doctor. Before he could even think about doing anything, say, like pulling Rose into a hug, he felt her tugging on his jacket and then their lips met. He couldn't kiss her back, not because he didn't want to but because he had been so stunned by her immediate reaction. It took less than a millisecond for it to dawn on him why she had reacted the way she had; she thought that the Doctor was the Meta Crisis version of him. Of course she did because shopping in malls together was what couples did. She was expecting to meet him here.
Thankfully for the both of them, Rose soon caught onto her mistake. She could freak out about her mistake but he wasn't going to or else it would double the awkwardness. The Doctor cleared his throat as Rose quickly realized that something bad was going on. That was the Doctor; when he appeared, you could bet that danger wasn't going to be far away. He hated his appearing always having to be associated with danger but it's not like there was anything he could really do about that. The TARDIS brought him where he was always needed, and where he was needed meant that some species or planet or the whole universe would soon be in trouble.
"You would think that an employee of Torchwood would be more observant with what's going on in all of the universes that have and will ever exist," he said with a small chuckle. Donna was always going to be the one who was the worst when it came to missing out on big things that no one else could possibly miss out on. "It's bad, Rose," he added, "Really...bad." There was no point in lying to her about that one. But he wasn't here to spread doom and gloom. All of that could wait. It was going to be a slow process, anyways. Existence was still holding relatively strongly right now. "How have you been?" If shopping at the mall with her boyfriend was any indication, she was doing just fine.

Rose just stared at him. She missed him, well this him, not Meta him. Meta was the same as the Doctor, they had the same memories and so forth but it wasn’t him. She missed the Doctor, well because he was her friend. At times, he was her best friend. She wondered if he was travelling by himself or if he had found someone after Donna. She hoped so. He deserved to have someone travel with him. She wouldn’t be jealous since John had grown his own TARDIS, very identical to the one that The Doctor had. Travelling with John was like travelling with him in a way.
Rose smiled to him and nodded. “yeah, I do know whats going on, I just sort of forgot. John, Meta, is working on it right now with Pete and everyone else. I was helping until Pete decided to give me and him a break, but he is just like you, not wanting one when he needs it most. Maybe you can talk to him. You are both the same, in a way.” Rose said with a light smile before hugging the Doctor again. This was all still a shock to her but it was everything she wanted, well everything she wanted a few years ago.
He told her that it was very bad. That made her frown again. Really bad wasn’t good at all. She knew bad and she knew really bad and when the Doctor said really bad, this was really, really, really bad. What threw her off was when he asked how she had been. “you tell me that this is all really bad and yet you ask how I am?” Rose asked him looking at him with a sarcastic smile followed by a non sarcastic smile. “I’m good, my mum had a baby with Pete, which isnt weird at all, and John, Meta, and I have been doing our own travelling. Still no you though, and yet it is.”
“what about you? How have you been?”

So Meta Crisis Doctor had a new name. That was...good. The Doctor knew he should be happy for Rose. Meta Crisis had a human name and was living the life of a human being with Rose but that small tinge of sadness tugging at his heart was hard to ignore. The Doctor could have never given her the life she and John were living right now but she had meant so much to him. It was her name that kept him fighting on and was still keeping him fighting on to a certain extent all by himself.
"Rose Tyler, do you honestly think that I would listen to myself?" he said, a grin spreading across his face. Besides, John had too much Donna in him. Maybe the Doctor in him might consider anything the real Doctor told him but the Donna half, like most of his companions, just never seemed to be able to listen to him. The advice would fall on deaf ears, which was fine with the Doctor because it was nice to know that there were others out there--and someone almost as clever as him--working on trying to put an end to the collapse of the universes.
The Doctor hugged her back, only reluctantly letting go a moment later. If she didn't have a new life, he would have asked her to come traveling with him again because he could use the help, and now was not a good time to be alone. When the Doctor had dropped Rose off at Bad Wolf Bay the last time, Jackie had been pregnant. Time traveling made it hard to keep things straight but at least now he knew nine months or more had passed since that day which felt like ages ago to the Doctor. "Congratulations," he said, "to all of you. Living your normal lives. There's nothing more important in the whole universe than that." Every human being, no matter how unimportant they believed themselves to be, mattered.
He should have known that Rose was going to direct the same question at him. "I've been..." His mind raced through a set of adjectives, and he finally settled on, "fine." That wasn't a complete lie but it wasn't the whole truth either. But he couldn't help but feel that he owed Rose at least most of the truth. "I've been doing a little bit of traveling on my own. Trying to stay out of trouble but you know how that usually goes." He couldn't bring himself to tell her about the "four knocks" or how he had just changed a fixed point in time. The Doctor didn't want Rose to worry about him.

Rose smiled to the Doctor. She could see it in his face that he wasn’t fine at all. She knew that the two had a strong connection and that it probably pained him to hear her talk about her life. She didn’t know why it pained him so since he left her there the second time. She could have gone with him, she could have lived how she lived before, before the daleks and cybermen had attacked London. Rose let out a sigh and she looked at him.
“you don’t sound fine. Here I am talking about me when clearly you need some venting time.” Rose gave him a small smile to help cheer him up. “so vent away, Doctor.”
Rose smiled to him. She knew that there was something more and she wished that they could be together, run away forever but that would never happen. She loved her family and John too much to leave them. She looked at him and she then shook her head.
“at the moment, what is more important than the universe or universes is you being alright and me knowing that your alright. don’t you see it? You have friends, me and everyone else you have met. Your not alone, Doctor.” Rose then said looking at him seriously.
Rose held her hand out to the chair across from the one she was sitting in before wondering if he wanted to talk. No sitting wasn’t really his thing was it? Rose shook her head and she then grabbed his arm and pulled him along with her. She waited for him to say something but she wondered if he would say anything at all. It was the Doctor after all.
